If you’ve been to Pineville in the past few years you’ve likely seen East Side Daiquiris on the corner of Hwy 28 and Pinegrove Drive, usually characterized by a busy drive-thru and a packed parking lot with plenty of outdoor seating. While the business is famous for its daiquiris, that’s only one piece of The Empire of East. Inside you’ll find a gorgeous bar, live music, and cheerful bartenders. The owners found a formula that works and are expanding locations across Cenla. The first expansion was to 3311 Third St in Alexandria that offers drive-thru drinks and a menu of pizza and wings.
If you’ve driven on the traffic circle you’ve noticed the old Julia’s Mexican Restaurant building is long gone (RIP) and being replaced by a massive 4000+ square foot building. This new building will be home to the East Side Daiquiris, Mid-City location. If you’re curious about the name, the Eastside aspect of this is still accurate since the Mid-City location is on the East side of the traffic circle.
This new location will have indoor-outdoor seating, a patio, a balcony, and a modern industrial vibe. The expansion wouldn’t be complete without the addition of a new sports bar-type menu that will be available for lunch, happy hour, and dinner. This new location can be your after-work spot, date night scene, and even your caterer. There’s a daiquiri and location available to everyone. The target open date is early 2022.
